Rowell Ladles

These ladles were patented in 1919 and are used in many foundries for safety and pouring clean metal.

The unique design of the pouring spout taking clean metal from the bottom of the bowl, prevents pouring slag or impurities.

Rowell Ladles

  • The #1 is adequate for most single cavity moulds.
  • The #2 is excellent for pouring large bullets or multiple cavity moulds. (gang moulds)
  • The #3 is an all around use for pouring ingots up to about 4 lbs of lead.
  • The #4 ladle, and in all larger ladles require 2 hand holding and pouring and have a cast iron sleeve on the handle for the left hand which remains cool.

The larger ladles are more suitable for the foundry use and are a bit large for the individual bullet caster's use.

A reprint of uses of the ladles is available.
